On April 5, 2022, Mary Ann Ruiz hosted a Table for Eight with the Honorable Marlene Fernandez-Karavetsos on behalf the Miami-Dade County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (MDFAWL). Ms. Ruiz serves as Committee Chair of MDFAWL’s State and Federal Courts and Investitures Committee, where she often organizes monthly dinners with members of the judiciary.
Ms. Ruiz and fellow MDFAWL members enjoyed an intimate dinner with Judge Fernandez-Karavetsos at Calista Taverna in Coral Gables, Florida. Judge Fernandez-Karavetsos serves in the Civil Circuit Family Division and discussed her unique experience on the bench. Members also shared tips on case management and best practices for successful lawyering.
