On April 8, 2022, Ms. Ruiz joined hundreds of community leaders and philanthropists at the Power of the Purse luncheon hosted by The Women’s Fund, Miami-Dade.
This year’s Power of the Purse event marked a 30-year milestone of The Women’s Fund’s unwavering focus on promoting positive change for women and girls in Miami-Dade County through advocacy, investment, research, and collective impact.
Notable speakers at the luncheon were Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and The Women’s Fund Chair, Arathi Ramappa. Several elected officials, both local and statewide, philanthropists, and women in the law attended the event as well.
Attendees engaged in a silent auction, meaningful networking, and a powerful program focusing on the organization’s four pillars to support and empower women: leadership, health and well-being, economic mobility, and freedom from violence.
