On May 17, 2022, Mary Ann Ruiz hosted a Table for Eight dinner with the Honorable Betsy Alvarez-Zane on behalf of the Miami-Dade County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (MDFAWL). Judge Alvarez-Zane serves in the County Criminal division in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami-Dade County, Florida.
The friendly, intimate dinner took place at Forte by Chef Adrianne restaurant in Coral Gables, Florida. Judge Alvarez-Zane shared her experience and responsibilities as a member of the judiciary, as well as her extensive history advocating in private practice. Ms. Ruiz, Judge Alvarez-Zane, and fellow MDFAWL members were able to network with each other and share useful practice tips over chocolate bread pudding and strawberry champagne.
