On June 1, 2022, Mary Ann Ruiz served as the Master of Ceremonies for the Florida Association for Women Lawyers Miami-Dade Chapter’s (MDFAWL) Installation Gala.
The Installation Gala is a celebratory event where the 2022-2023 MDFAWL Board of Officers and Directors are sworn into their positions for the 2022-2023 year. Hundreds of judges, attorneys, and elected officials attended the event, which took place at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.
This year, the MDFAWL’s Mattie Belle Davis Award was presented to the Honorable Bronwyn C. Miller, Appellate Court Judge for the Third District Court of Appeal, for her professional achievements, perseverance, and dedication. Chairman of Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, Jose Diaz, also attended the event and proclaimed the day as “Judge Bronwyn C. Miller Day,” in special recognition to her.
The gala formally kicks off the 2022-2023 year, during which MDFAWL will continue its mission to promote the advancement of women in the legal profession.
